The KOA Owner’s Association recently asked its network to hand-deliver the 2012 donation checks to children’s cancer camps throughout the US and Canada.  Since I am a current cancer patient, I jumped at the chance to get face-to-face with an organization that is helping children cope with this insidious diagnosis.   more »

When Joseph was born, everyone was so happy for us! We wanted to give back and decided to ask people to donate money instead of giving him a gift.  Each year we had so many people attend his party 30-40 the first few years and then close to 100.  We kept encouraging people to donate $. more »

New Donation Formats for KOA Care Camps

Your donations allow children with cancer to go to summer camps.  Now you can not only donate online, but you can donate in several new ways:

  • Donate in memory of a loved one. Memorials can offer comfort to the families that have lost someone special.
  • Donate in honor or tribute of someone. Did a particular counselor, doctor, camper, family member, or friend make a special impact? Donate to KOA Care Camps in their honor.
  • One time and recurring donations are also easily handled on our web site.
  • Finally, you can contribute just by shopping at Albertsons. Request a card today.

KOA Care Camps Donation in Honor of Frank and Melinda Christianson

Mary E. Freeman of Ft. Meade, South Dakota made a generous donation of $1,000.00 to KOA Care Camps in honor of Frank and Melinda Christianson of Jackson MN KOA. She indicated that while she was staying at the Christianson’s KOA she became ill and they took such wonderful care of her that she wanted to do something special in their honor.

Way to go Frank and Melinda and of course Mary!!! How very generous and kind of all of you!!!
