Dear KOA Care Camps,

We are so grateful to you for sponsoring us.  We are a family of six and it’s hard for us to get away with a sick child.  Camp Sunshine gives us that opportunity.

When my son Troy was just a baby he was diagnosed with Malignant Melanoma.  We were in and out of the hospital about 4 times a week.  It put a real strain on our family.  He went through many operations, lost some of his hearing and had to have speech therapy.

When we came to Camp Sunshine it was a whole new world.  My son wasn’t different – he was normal.  He wasn’t the sick kid – he was just Troy.  Camp Sunshine is a place where our whole family can be together and enjoy ourselves.  We love it here.  Thank you for this experience.
